The Office of Financial Aid is now scheduling appointments for students who need to conduct business in person.听 Appointments can be made through email at听finaid@ramapo.edu or through our chat located on our website. In person appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. However, we are confident that most questions can be handled without in-person visits via a phone call, a Webex meeting or email.

If you or your family are experiencing financial hardships or family circumstances have changed please email or call the Office of Financial Aid so we can discuss your situation and the possibility of a re-evaluation of your financial aid award.

Most federal student loans have loan fees that are a percentage of the total loan amount. The loan fee is deducted proportionately from each loan disbursement you receive while enrolled in school. This means the money you receive will be less than the amount you actually borrow. You鈥檙e responsible for repaying the entire amount you borrowed and not just the amount you received.

Please be aware, students must now Accept or Decline Federal Direct Loans through the Ramapo College Self-Service.听 Your loan will not appear on your bill until you do so.听 Please follow these instructions:

To accept your loans, log into your听听辫辞谤迟补濒.

1. Enter your Ramapo username and password, then click the login button.
2. Find the Financial Aid Self-Service box.
3. Select the link.
4. In the upper right-hand corner is a drop-down Aid Year box, select 26-27 Aid Year听(if not already displayed).
5. Select the Offer tab to view and accept, decline or modify your loans.
6. Navigate down to the Loans section.
7. Select the Take Action听box for each loan and choose Accept, Decline or Modify (to accept a lesser amount).
8. Click Submit or your selections will not be recorded.

If you accept your federal loans, please go to and complete an entrance counseling session and a master promissory note.

NJ Residents听make sure that you complete the required additional state questions no later than September 15.

To provide this information online, you must create a login to听HESAA鈥檚 NEW student information system, NJFAMS听to do this:

1. Go to听.听 If you do not yet have a user name and password to NJFAMS, you will be able to create one.
2. Click the听鈥渃reate a student login鈥�听link to create your user name and password to the听NEW听蝉测蝉迟别尘.
3. Once logged into NJFAMS you can view any outstanding tasks that require your attention to complete your record.
