The Ramapo site location accepts donations of used technology equipment, from individuals and businesses, that will be refurbished to distribute to qualified students.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Types of technology and supplies we accept:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>At this time, Laptop Upcycle @ Ramapo is focused on building its inventory of laptops.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Laptops<\/li>\n<li>Mobile WiFi hotspots<\/li>\n<li>Computer repair kits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Laptop Upcycle @ Ramapo does not accept printers, cell phones, or tablets.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Minimum functionality criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>All donated devices must meet the following minimum criteria in order to be accepted as a donation to the Ramapo site:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Devices should have a processing speed that is i5, its equivalent, or faster.<\/li>\n<li>All screens on devices must be intact; devices with cracked or damaged screens cannot be accepted for donation.<\/li>\n<li>Laptops should have a built-in webcam.<\/li>\n<li>The laptop BIOS (Basic Input\/Output System) should not be locked. If the BIOS on the laptop is locked, please have your corporate IT department unlock it.<\/li>\n<li>For Apple devices, the iCloud must be unlocked (users must sign out and disassociate their Apple ID with the device).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the technology equipment you wish to donate does not meet this criteria, please contact <a href=\"mailto:laptopupcycle@ramapo.edu\">laptopupcycle@ramapo.edu<\/a> with the equipment&#8217;s information.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to donate technology<\/strong><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/upcycle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/362\/2021\/10\/LU@R-Donation-Form.pdf\">Donation Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>We will contact you to confirm the information and coordinate drop off provided in the Donation Form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once your device is received, you will receive a tax acknowledgment letter from Laptop Upcycle to the contact information provided in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/upcycle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/362\/2021\/10\/LU@R-Donation-Form.pdf\">Donation Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Coordinating Pick-up\/Drop-off<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Laptops can be dropped off at the Center for Student Involvement Main Office with your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/upcycle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/362\/2021\/10\/LU@R-Donation-Form.pdf\">Donation Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If you would like to schedule a pick-up<strong> on campus<\/strong>, please email <strong> <a href=\"mailto:laptopupcycle@ramapo.edu\">laptopupcycle@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please review the minimum functionality criteria above before bringing donated laptop(s) to campus.
