Student Health Insurance<\/h3>\n

Ramapo is pleased to announce that it has joined other State institutions to provide a College-sponsored student health insurance plan. We feel that now more than ever health insurance will benefit our students as we have been suffering through the current health crisis caused by a global pandemic. In addition, students asked for this service and we listened, and have now made available health insurance coverage for all full-time students. The plan being offered for academic year is through Aetna Student Health. Below is a summary of plan details:<\/p>\n

Full-time students are automatically billed<\/strong> for health insurance. Students have the opportunity to waive\/opt out of this coverage by providing evidence of health insurance coverage to the College-sponsored insurance company by the posted waiver deadline. The Fall 2025 deadline is September 26, 2025 and the Spring 2026 deadline (when applicable) is February 27, 2026<\/strong>. You must waive coverage by these deadlines or you will be enrolled in the plan and you will be responsible for the charge.<\/strong> To waive coverage and have this charge removed from your bill, please click the link below: www.universityhealthplans.com\/ramapo<\/a><\/p>\n

Please allow two days from the date you successfully completed your waiver for the credit to appear on your account.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fall Semester<\/strong>
\nThe annual Health Insurance fee will be automatically billed to all full-time students during the Fall billing cycle. Students who waive their insurance in the Fall may not enroll in the Spring semester unless there is a Qualifying Life Event as defined by the plan. You may enroll in the health insurance plan within the first 31 days of the life event outside the Open Enrollment Period. To enroll due to a qualifying life event, contact University Health Plan at 833-251-1149.<\/p>\n

Spring Semester<\/strong>
\nThe Spring\/Summer Health Insurance plan for the Spring semester will be billed to all new incoming full-time students for the Spring semester, and can be waived if that student has insurance coverage.<\/p>\n

Health Insurance Enrollment\/Waiver Information\u00a0<\/strong>
\nStudents are required to enroll\/waive the College-sponsored insurance plan each academic year.<\/strong> If you plan to keep the College-sponsored insurance, you may self-enroll prior to the College specified enrollment period. To self-enroll, please click the following link:

Effective October 27, 2025, students will need to use the following link to access their ID cards: https:\/\/www.aetnastudenthealth.com\/en\/get-id-card.html<\/a>. This change will no longer allow access for instant download of ID Cards, and they will now be emailed to the student\u2019s email address on file only.<\/p>\n
