Every August, the Faculty Resource Center coordinates New Full-Time and Adjunct Faculty Orientation online introductions. \u00a0For new faculty not able to attend (or for faculty who simply wish to brush up on what they learned!), powerpoint slides are available here.<\/p>\n

People Operations and Employee Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n Employee Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n The Office of Employee Relations is responsible for administering faculty tenure, promotions, career development procedures, the collective bargaining agreement between the College and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and other labor relations matters. Additional responsibilities of the office include the administration of disciplinary, reappointment, performance appraisal and professional procedures. The office also monitors compliance with the College\u2019s policy on Conflict of Interest, Intellectual Property, Code of Professional Responsibility, as well as other policies, statutes, regulations and procedures.<\/p>\n Center for Student Success<\/strong><\/p>\n The Center for Student Success provides a comprehensive introduction to the academic and social environment of the Ramapo College community with a focus on the success and retention of all students.<\/p>\n Office of Specialized Services<\/strong><\/p>\n The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) serves our population of students with disabilities. \u00a0This office offers multiple services to help these students (and their faculty members) succeed.<\/p>\n Registration and FERPA Dos and Don’ts:<\/strong><\/p>\n Center for Health and Counseling Services<\/strong><\/p>\n The Center for Health and Counseling Services<\/a> provides medical and mental health treatment to students. Through health care and psychological counseling, students are empowered to make healthy lifestyle choices that promote overall health and psychological well-being.<\/p>\n Behavioral Intervention Team\u00a0(BIT)<\/strong><\/p>\n BIT is a service for faculty to quickly report any students in immediate distress. \u00a0A team of faculty and staff will investigate the situation to determine how to best help the student.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n The mission of EDIC<\/a> is to advance a shared understanding and practice of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice as aligned with the College\u2019s Mission and Values.<\/p>\n Discrimination\/Bias\/Title IX Complaints and Resources<\/p>\n 性视界传媒 is committed to maintaining an environment free from harassment and discrimination. We also support course design and development through workshops, individual training, and online consultations.<\/p>\n The IDC Lab is located in LC 201. Consultations are booked through the\u00a0Help Desk<\/a>.<\/p>\n The George T. Potter Library<\/strong><\/p>\n George T. Potter Library provides many resources and services for our students and faculty. Our librarians can work with your class and provide an Information Literacy session designed specifically for your course to teach your students’ research skills in the context of their assignments.<\/p>\n Center for Reading and Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n The Center for Reading and Writing offers consultations in\u00a0writing, reading, and study skills to students on all\u00a0academic levels across disciplines. Peer tutors and\u00a0professional staff conduct individual sessions, as well as\u00a0workshops; appointments are not necessary.<\/p>\n Office of Grants & Sponsored Programs<\/strong><\/p>\n The central mission of the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs<\/a> and Grants Accounting is to ensure that you have all of the necessary tools at your disposal to apply for and manage a successful sponsored project<\/p>\n Institutional Review Board<\/strong><\/p>\n Faculty Resource Center<\/strong><\/p>\n The Faculty Resource Center (FRC) offers workshops and other programs to help faculty develop as educators. \u00a0This is your best resource for all things teaching-related.<\/p>\n\n
